ABC Pattern Scanner & ABC Pattern Pro
The ABC Pattern Scanner and ABC Pattern Pro are designed to work together as a discovery-to-execution pipeline. The scanner monitors up to 20 symbols simultaneously for Fibonacci-validated ABC corrections. Pattern Pro draws the detailed A-B-C structure with entry, stop, and target levels on the specific chart. Same detection engine, different purposes.

If you have not already, read the ABC Pattern Scanner section and the ABC Pattern Pro section to understand how each indicator works independently before combining them.
The Discovery-to-Execution Pipeline
The two indicators cover three distinct stages of the workflow:
| Stage | Tool | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery | ABC Pattern Scanner | Scans 20 symbols for active ABC patterns. Flags cells when valid setups form. |
| Validation | ABC Pattern Pro | Draws the full A-B-C structure with retracement levels and trade plan on the flagged chart. |
| Execution | Both | Scanner fires confirmation alert (with optional webhook JSON); Pattern Pro displays the live entry, stop, and target. |
Workflow 1: Scanner Triggers, Pattern Pro Validates
The primary combination workflow.
How It Works
- Add the ABC Pattern Scanner to a dedicated chart with your watchlist of up to 20 symbols
- Wait for a cell to flip from
--toACTIVEin the scanner table - Open the flagged symbol on a separate chart
- Add ABC Pattern Pro to that chart with the same Detection Size setting as the scanner column where the signal appeared
- Pattern Pro draws the A-B-C structure that triggered the scanner — verify the retracement depth, the swing geometry, and the proposed trade levels
- Plan your order based on Pattern Pro's entry, stop, and target
This workflow lets you screen 20 symbols passively while reserving full chart attention for symbols that actually have valid setups forming.

Workflow 2: Dual-Scale Confirmation
When both the scanner and Pattern Pro run dual-scale detection, cross-scale alignment becomes a high-conviction filter.
How It Works
- Enable Use Second Detection Scale in the ABC Pattern Scanner — the table now shows Long 2 / Short 2 columns
- Watch for symbols where BOTH detection scales reach
ACTIVEorUP CONF/DN CONFsimultaneously - On the flagged chart, run ABC Pattern Pro with both Size 1 and Size 2 enabled
- Pattern Pro draws ABC structures at both scales — confirm both are clean and the trade levels align
When both scales agree, the same ABC structure is being recognized at two different swing sensitivities — signal-strength evidence beyond what either scale alone provides.
Workflow 3: Webhook Discovery, Manual Validation
For traders running execution automation via TradersPost or similar.
How It Works
- Configure the ABC Pattern Scanner with the Custom Alert Message enabled and a TradersPost webhook URL set up in TradingView's alert notifications
- Confirmed entries fire JSON containing entry, stop, target, RR, and computed position size — orders route automatically
- After the order routes, open the symbol with ABC Pattern Pro for post-trade visualization
- Pattern Pro draws the A-B-C structure and the entry/stop/target levels — useful for trade journaling, post-mortem analysis, and confirming the structure was clean
This workflow separates discovery (scanner + automation) from validation (Pattern Pro on the chart) — useful when you want to be away from the chart but still review trades after they fire.
Why This Combination Works
Both indicators share the same detection engine. The ABC Pattern Scanner's ACTIVE state and ABC Pattern Pro's drawn pattern are not just similar — they are the same pattern, identified by the same swing logic and Fibonacci validation. This means:
- Same swing points (A, B, C)
- Same retracement depth measurement
- Same entry trigger logic
- Same target calculation if Target Type matches
There is no signal discrepancy between the two tools. The scanner finds; Pattern Pro renders. The trader's job is to inspect, decide, and execute.
FAQ
Why use the ABC Pattern Scanner together with ABC Pattern Pro?
The ABC Pattern Scanner and ABC Pattern Pro share the same Fibonacci-validated detection engine but serve different purposes. The scanner surfaces ABC setups across 20 symbols in a single table — it tells you WHERE to look. ABC Pattern Pro draws the full A-B-C structure with entry, stop, and target levels on the specific chart — it tells you HOW to trade it. Together they form a complete discovery-to-execution workflow.
How do I switch from the ABC Pattern Scanner to ABC Pattern Pro efficiently?
When a cell in the ABC Pattern Scanner flips to ACTIVE on a symbol, click the symbol name in the table to open it on a chart, then add ABC Pattern Pro to that chart. The pattern is already validated by the same engine — Pattern Pro will draw the A-B-C structure with the matching swing size, retracement levels, and target.
Should I use the same detection size in both the scanner and the chart-level indicator?
Yes. The ABC Pattern Scanner and ABC Pattern Pro use the same swing detection logic. Matching the Size setting (default 7) ensures Pattern Pro draws the same ABC structure that triggered the scanner alert. If you run dual-layer scanning, set Pattern Pro to the size that matched the scanner column where the signal triggered.
