Consolidation & Head and Shoulders Scanner

The Consolidation & Head and Shoulders Scanner monitors up to 20 symbols simultaneously for consolidation (rectangle) patterns and head and shoulders patterns. The scanner displays real-time pattern status in a color-coded table and fires alerts when patterns are detected or breakouts occur — so you never miss a trading opportunity across your watchlist.

Scanner symbol configuration

Quick Start

Start with the pre-configured symbols. Add your own watchlist instruments in the custom slots. The scanner runs continuously and updates the table in real-time as patterns form and break out across all monitored symbols.

How It Works

The scanner runs four independent pattern detections per symbol:

  • Consolidation 1 — Rectangle pattern at the first detection size
  • H&S Long — Inverse head and shoulders (bullish) at the first detection size
  • H&S Short — Classic head and shoulders (bearish) at the first detection size
  • Consolidation 2 / H&S 2 — Second detection layer at a larger swing size

Each detection tracks its own state independently. A single symbol can have multiple active patterns simultaneously.

FAQ

How many symbols can the Consolidation and H&S Scanner monitor?

The Consolidation and H&S Scanner monitors up to 20 symbols simultaneously. 10 symbols come pre-configured with popular instruments (BTC, ETH, NQ, ES, etc.) and 10 additional custom slots are available. An Advanced mode supports entering symbols as a comma-separated list.

What patterns does the scanner detect?

The Consolidation and H&S Scanner detects both consolidation (rectangle) patterns and head and shoulders patterns (classic and inverse). Each pattern type runs at two independent detection sizes, giving four pattern detections per symbol — Consolidation 1, H&S 1, Consolidation 2, and H&S 2.

Does the scanner work with the individual pattern indicators?

Yes, the scanner is designed as a watchlist companion. Use the Consolidation and H&S Scanner to monitor multiple symbols, then switch to the Consolidation and Range Pattern or Head and Shoulders Pattern indicator for detailed analysis and trade execution on the best setups.

What do the colors in the scanner table mean?

Yellow means a pattern is ACTIVE (detected, awaiting breakout). Green means a confirmed bullish breakout. Red means a confirmed bearish breakout. Gray indicates no active pattern or a failed pattern.
