Wedge Pattern Scanner
The Wedge Pattern Scanner monitors up to 20 symbols simultaneously for rising and falling wedge patterns. The scanner displays real-time pattern status in a color-coded table, tracking each setup through its full lifecycle from formation through breakout to confirmation or failure, and fires alerts the moment any symbol's state changes.

Key Features
Multi-Symbol Scanning
Monitor up to 20 instruments with three concurrent detection scales for multi-scale wedge surveillance.
Alerts
Per-direction toggles for Wedge Active, Breakout Unconfirmed, and Breakout Confirmed, plus webhook-ready JSON for automated execution.
Settings
Configure symbols, detection scales, trade direction, target types, risk sizing, and table styling.
Quick Setup
- Add the Wedge Pattern Scanner to your TradingView chart
- 10 popular instruments are pre-configured (NQ, ES, YM, GC, SI, CL, EURUSD, BTCUSDT, NVDA, GOOG)
- Three detection scales are enabled by default (Sizes 7, 14, 21), each adding a Long/Short column pair
- Trade direction defaults to Long + Short; target type defaults to Fixed Risk Reward
- Log-scale slope measurement is on by default for instrument-agnostic accuracy
- The scanner table shows real-time status with state vocabulary (ACTIVE / UP CONF / DN CONF / FAILED) and color coding
Start with the pre-configured symbols. When you see a cell flip to ACTIVE, a wedge is compressing on that symbol, so switch to the Wedge Pattern Pro indicator on that instrument to study the structure and prepare your order. When the cell flips to UP CONF or DN CONF, the breakout has been confirmed by a follow-through close.
FAQ
How many symbols and detection scales does the Wedge Pattern Scanner monitor?
The Wedge Pattern Scanner monitors up to 20 symbols simultaneously and runs three concurrent detection scales. Smaller scales catch intraday compressions; larger scales surface broader structural wedges. 10 popular instruments come pre-configured (NQ, ES, YM, GC, SI, CL, EURUSD, BTCUSDT, NVDA, GOOG).
What is the difference between the Wedge Pattern Scanner and Wedge Pattern Pro?
Wedge Pattern Pro draws the full wedge structure, trendlines, and trade levels on a single chart and runs four detection scales. The Wedge Pattern Scanner uses the same swing-based detection but applies it across 20 symbols in a status table at three scales, surfacing setups across the watchlist without per-chart drawings. Many traders run both: the scanner finds setups, the Pro indicator analyzes them in detail.
Can the Wedge Pattern Scanner send orders to a broker automatically?
Yes. Every confirmed breakout can fire a TradersPost-compatible JSON alert with entry price, stop level, take-profit target, risk/reward ratio, and an auto-computed position size from account size and per-trade risk %. Connect the webhook to TradersPost or any compatible venue for automated routing.
What states does the Wedge Pattern Scanner track per symbol?
The Wedge Pattern Scanner tracks states per direction: `--` (no pattern), ACTIVE (wedge formed and compressing), UP/DN (breakout crossed intrabar, unconfirmed), UP CONF/DN CONF (breakout confirmed by follow-through close, distinct cell fill), and FAILED (structure broke before a clean breakout).
